Today
I am going to discuss about a significant and most common problem among the
NEET aspirants. That is how to balance between board and NEET preparation. I
got many request asking for help in this regards. If you are also in same
situation then watch this video till the end or else you can ignore this video
here itself.
Well.
If You are in a quandary or dilemma as to whether you should be preparing for
your 12th standard board exams or get immersed
in your NEET 2018 Preparation, then you are not alone. You are among
those lakhs of students who appear every year to get that coveted seat in a
reputed medical college. But of course, seats are limited. If you miss out on
these limited seats, you still need to have decent marks in your 12th standard
so that you may get admission in an academic course. Else, you’ll be left with
the prospect of having to spend a whole year preparing for the entrance tests
for the following year. So how will you balance between those two. Here I will
mention some tips so that it will be helpful for you to sort it out.
Be
mentally prepared: While the boards are important exams and the performance of
which will have an impact on your confidence level for the upcoming competitive
exams, the more crucial exams are the latter. The thing to remember is that if
you are preparing for NEET you are ready to face the boards too. Right about
this time, you must be deep into your board exams’ revision. Soon after your
boards, be ready to delve right back into your books for a more intense study
and revision for your entrance exams.
Prepare
a Suitable Schedule : Secondly it is mandatory for every medical aspirants to
make a suitable schedule for study. Without a schedule your study time is very
flexible which may not be effective for your preparation. Your time bounded
plan is must to achieve your success. Planning is primary step for any mission.
So effective plan and schedule is obligatory for a student to crack any medical
entrance.
Make
sub-division: divide your syllabus into small small portion and assign the time
for that specific portion. Within that stipulated time try to finish that
portion. You know if you study like this way then you will enjoy the study n
you will never get bored with your study. This is a secret of toppers..
Focus
on NCERT : No need to worry about the NEET.
Since NEET syllabus is completely based on NCERT. even most of the state
board's syllabus also NCERT. So, go through the NCERT, try to be confident that
you know everything of NCERT. Since in your board level you follow some
reference book.. So it is enough for you to clear NEET. The only thing you need
is to be familiar with the type of questions asked in the entrance exam. So you
need to practice the previous year paper. Everyday devote some hours for
practicing some MCQ. It will clear your concept as well. Do one thing, after finishing of any portion
for half an hour try to practice mcq as many as possible related to that
portion.
In
some state the state board syllabus is quiet different from NCERT. I would like
to tell them try to buy NCERT text book and while studying your state board
text book, correlate it with the NCERT text. It will help you a lot. It will
make you familiar with the text. You know, being familiar with NCERT , is most Important for
any medical aspirants. You have already seen in the paper that direct NCERT
lines or sentences are copied in the question paper. So it is necessary to thorough
with the NCERT text.
Join
a test series if possible : Test series will provide you the real depth of the
exam. So it is necessary to join a test series. If you can't join a test series
then there is an alternative for you. Since you have various books of MCQ . you
arrange the question paper using those mcq And sit for the mock test. While
sitting for mock test Take it seriously as you arein real examination.
Give
more importance to Common topics: There are many common topics in board
syllabus and l NEET syllabus. Identify these topics and list them. Prepare them
thoroughly and cover all aspects of these topics keeping the difficulty level of
both the examinations in mind. Study them from your textbooks, guidebooks as
well as from your NEET study material if any so that you cover everything at
once and do not have to work on them twice.
All The Best
